Installation of by pass barn doors

My client found Shapira Builders on Yelp.
I visited with homeowners, they have an open archway of 51 inches by 94 inches.
They already purchased the hardware online from NW Artisan Hardware.
The cost of the hardware was about $700.00.

The homeowners Had few contractors who did not want to pursue this job for different reasons.

I told the homeowners that I can execute the installation.
At this point homeowners had to decide on the doors style.
The doors are 1 3/8″ x 28″ x 96″ solid core.
I gave them the price for the doors and the installation.
The job went pretty smooth, It was the fist time I was using this brand name hardware.

The first thing I had to do was to figure out the location on the wall to where to install the brackets. I had to find the studs behind the drywall. Then I had to figure out the height above the floor.

The doors must run parallel to the floor so the gap between the bottom of doors and the floor is always the same.
First I installed the four brackets on the wall with 5″ lags.
Then I marked on the flat bar (track) where to drill the holes for the bolts to attach the bar to the brackets.
I drilled the holes with 1/2″ cobalt drill bit.
After I was done with the hardware installation, I installed the hardware on the doors and hung the doors on the tracks.

Now, I installed the floor guide (to keep the doors from swinging)
Last thing was to do, to install the recessed finger pulls.

The homeowners were very happy with results and so was I.
